Description
Boryspil is a fungicide for seed treatment for control of seed and soil-borne diseases causing damping-off in maize caused by Fusarium spp. and Pythium spp.
Spectrum of Activity
Fludioxonil controls economically important diseases caused by fungi in the class of ascomycetes, basidiomycetes.
Metalaxyl-M controls economically important diseases caused by fungi in the class of Oomycetes.
Crop Tolerance
When used as recommended, Boryspil is well tolerated by maize seeds and seedlings. In case of doubt check crop tolerance first. When used in mixture with any product, the crop safety of the mixture must be checked before large scale application.
IPM Fitness
As a seed treatment, the product fits well into IPM ruled crop protection schemes.
Boryspil is a safe, water-based flowable formulation with a special surfactant system. Treated seeds have an attractive shiny appearance with excellent seed flow characteristics.
Mode of Action:
Boryspil contains the broad-spectrum seed treatment fungicide fludioxonil as its active ingredient combined with Metalaxyl-M. Fludioxonil belongs to the chemical class of pheylpyrroles, which has been derived from a natural antimycotic compound isolated from a soil bacterium.
Boryspil is characterized by its broad activity and unique mode of action. It interferes with transport mechanisms in fungal cells interacting at various points in the lifecycle of the fungus i.e. conidial germination, germ tube, and mycelial growth.

Properties
Boryspil is a protective and curative fungicide consisting of metalaxyl, which has systemic action and fludioxonil, which has contact action. The modern formulation used to manage soil-origin pathogens is in SC form. Drip irrigation systems or soil applications may be used.
Boryspil is a modern seed treatment that protects the genetic potential of high-value corn/maize seeds. It enjoys global registrations and is, therefore, a key product for seed multinationals.
Fludioxonil is the only molecule of this chemical class and is used as a seed treatment on various crops, such as maize (corn), soybean, potato, or cotton. Fludioxonil is a contact fungicide that penetrates the seed surface and concentrates around the seed, thus providing a long-lasting protection zone around the young seedling. Its excellent crop safety combined with exceptional activity at a low use rate against targeted fungi, such as snow mold, seed-borne, and soilborne Fusarium, seedling blights or bunts, make fludioxonil a leading seed treatment molecule. Please refer to the product label for dosage application.
Method of Application
Soil-origin pathogens in tomato: After tomato seedlings are transplanted into the greenhouse, the drip irrigation should be used to apply to the soil the recommended dose of product per decare. 1st application should be done right after the seedlings are transplanted into the greenhouse. If necessary, applications should be repeated at 15-day intervals. In greenhouses with no drip irrigation system, the amount of treated water to reach plant roots is calculated based on dose per decare, a number of plants to be treated per decare and the amount of water to be applied to each plant.
Soil-origin pathogens in pepper: After pepper seedlings are transplanted into the greenhouse, the drip irrigation should be used to apply to the soil the recommended dose of product per decare. 1st application should be done right after the seedlings are transplanted into the greenhouse. 2nd application is made 15 days after the first one. If necessary, applications should be repeated at 15-day intervals. In greenhouses with no drip irrigation system, the amount of treated water to reach plant roots is calculated based on dose per decare, a number of plants to be treated per decare and the amount of water to be applied to each plant.
Soil-origin pathogens in cucumber: After cucumber seedlings are transplanted into the greenhouse, the drip irrigation should be used to apply to the soil the recommended dose of product per decare.
Root rot in strawberry: After strawberry seedlings are transplanted into the greenhouse, the drip irrigation should be used to apply to the soil the recommended dose of product. 1st application should be done right after the seedlings are transplanted into the greenhouse. 2nd application is made 15 days after the first one. If necessary, applications should be repeated at 15-day intervals.
Compatibility: It can be mixed with other insecticides and fungicides except for products with alkaline properties.
